Worry Me by Echoes of Nyx, is a story of one woman’s attempt to overcome her fear of the unknown by taking the first steps toward a personal uprising. A lifelong dreamer, she has made no progress toward what she wants most: reconciliation with those she loves. Now, as her winter approaches, she is driven by the stark pragmatism of survival.
If I could sit down with my twenty-year-old self, I would take her hands and say: Your dreams have kept me warm, but they have left me so alone. I still ache for the people I love, and every day I feel the distance I let grow between us. I was terrified of the unknown then, just as I am now—yet I wish I had found the courage to begin my uprising sooner. Don’t wait until winter closes in and all that’s left is survival. Please, start now.
